No One Wants Her, Except

                    "Israel is swallowed up;
                    now she is among the nations
                    like something no one wants."
                            — Hosea 8:8
    Unwanted, unloved, unknown each word got sent
    on faith, its promise seemingly broken, bent
    into the shape it feared its final pose,
    her final note escaping from its prose
    that left a hole of silence where she went.

    Yet she is real on purpose, to all extent.
    May any doubt that came off laughing repent
    its laughter. No word she's given us goes
                unwanted, unloved, unknown.

    What fearing blocks, grace will circumvent,
    the choice already made, the time well spent,
    not once regretting any word she chose
    nor let time lapse forgetting what she knows
    still waits to see her home, no longer meant
                unwanted, unloved, unknown.
