Not How It Used to Be

Used to be that I kept my own keys.
I see notes meant to remind me where
to go to look when I needed my spare.
You keep them for me now, if you please.

Used to be I would be canning today
what I'd want for a winter evening's stew
with more than enough to share with you.
You can shop for me now, if that's ok.

Used to be I would pay every bill
as soon as it showed up if not before
except for the ones I'd choose to ignore.
You can take care of me now, if you will.
