Piece of Last Night

A parting mist kicks up a storm
which as I swallow, goes thick black
in gripping words I can't take back
as if thereby to clothe my form
                  with insane unprovoked attack.

In closing, stars try hard to come
            through isolated scars I'd cut
reminding me to breathe, yes but
their home makes love to love me home,
my bedroom window not left shut.
